Thrift Shop
The Deer Hill Thrift Shop is Open on Saturdays!
Our new hours are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Our volunteers have deep cleaned the store, and rearranged the space in order to allow for social distancing among our customers and our staff. The entrance to the thrift shop is located in the alley between our building and the Harambee Center for Youth.
Our shop is an Outreach Program of the First Congregational Church.
About Us
Despite the thrifty prices, our volunteers give the shop the appearance of an upscale boutique. The atmosphere warm and friendly, reminiscent of the “corner store” where neighbors came in to visit as well as shop.
Our Wares
Our thrift shop is packed with high-quality clothing -- some even have the original store tags. A few of the more unusual items we've sold are a crab cage, an authentic Chinese shoulder yoke complete with rice buckets, and even a real harpoon -- presumably from the whaling ship Pequod!
Please think of us for your donations. However due to space constraints, we are unable to take furniture, TVs, microwave ovens or computers.
